Happy New Year Cruis’n Family!! What a year 2021 has been full of great roads, great towns and the building of new and every lasting friendships. We traveled many miles this past year while creating amazing memories with you all and we are just getting started. We want to welcome everyone back for another year of cruising the back roads of Oklahoma together!! We plan on making 2022 even better than 2021, so stay tuned for all the upcoming events and get ready to travel these amazing cruises with us!!
We are starting the new year off with a new small town in Oklahoma, Marshall. Marshall is said to have the widest main street in the USA. It is said that a team of horses made a “U” turn and that determined how wide they made main street.
MEET UP STARTING LOCATION: We will be meeting on Main Street and parking there. Plan on pulling out at 9:30am. We will head East to Chandler where our friends at Route 66 Bowl will be hosting us for our destination location.
ROUTE: PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU VIEW THE ROUTE PRIOR TO DEPARTURE JUST IN CASE ANYONE GETS SEPARATED FOR ANY REASON. Estimated Route is 1 Hour 19 Minutes(74 Miles) from Marshall to Chandler.
Head East on E Main St toward Kansas St. for 0.2 Miles
Turn Right onto OK-74E Spur S/S Iowa Ave/MacArthur Blvd. for 2.6 Miles
Turn Left onto OK-51 E and go 13 Miles
Continue straight and stay on OK-51 E for 0.4 Miles
Turn Left to stay on OK-51 E for 2.6 Miles
Continue straight to stay on OK-51 E for 6.6 Miles
Turn Right onto Coyle Rd/N3240 Rd and go 8.9 Miles
Turn Left onto OK-33 E for 11 Miles
Use the Left 2 lanes to continue on E 116th St for 250 Feet
Continue straight to stay on E 116th St for 0.1 Mile
Continue straight onto OK-33 E/E 116th St for 8.8 Miles
Turn right onto OK-18 S for 19 Miles
Keep left to continue on E 1st St for 0.3 Miles
Turn left onto E 1st St/U.S. Rt 66 and go 0.4 Miles (Pass by O’Reilly Auto Parts that is on the right)
End at Rt 66 Bowl (920 E 1st St, Chandler, OK 74834)
Route 66 Bowl will be opening for us on Sunday and if you’ve never been, you’re in for a treat!! There are TONS of vintage signs spread throughout the entire building including one special sign from the famous movie Twister! See if you can find it when you come! There’s also 10,000 square foot laser tag, glow putt putt, arcade, 16 lanes for bowling and a restaurant inside as well. There’s a little bit for everyone!
Bring the family and lets enjoy a day inside away from these brutal winter temperatures. Don’t forget, next month we will be heading back to Hallett!! Mark that down as well!!
