KOTOR(King of the Open Road)

This will be our November event.

Registration opens Monday, September 19th at 8:00 am central standard time.

200 mile cruise. To some really cool historic spots in Oklahoma. During the fall, as the trees are changing. Should be a really pretty cruise. Heading to south east Oklahoma this time.

You can bring a trailer. You can have a support vehicle for fuel. Pretty laid back rules. I want everyone to have a good time and drive their car and make memories doing it.

Heads up elimination drag racing.

Friday night test and tune

Saturday cruise and qualifying

Sunday eliminations

We are only taking 200 cars. Last year we had 220+. I anticipate this event selling out quickly.

If you don’t have the time off work to do a full week drag and drive, this is the event for you.

Drag and drives make so many memories with like minded car enthusiasts. If you have not competed, you are missing out!

It’s not about the prize at the end, but the memories you make along the way.

August Cruise: Perry, Oklahoma

UPDATE:

Today is the day. Hope to see everyone in Perry this evening!

Few reminders:

The town is doing us a favor, by having us. Be respectful, don’t be dumb . Don’t drag race down the road, don’t pass your buddy in town, don’t do a burnout at the stop lights. we all know how to act.

They are giving us a spot to do burnouts in, the cops will be allowing us to have a great time. I want everyone to have an amazing time, as does the town of Perry. We hope to make this a yearly stop.

Burnout’s: starting around 7:30pm or so, you will be able to do as many as you want. You can literal cruise around and if you want to pull over to the road they are allowing them on, and burn them until they pop, go for it! Fire truck will be there to assist with water as well. We plan to go until about 10pm with the burnouts.

Jacob will be leading the cruise tonight, I will meet you guys in Perry due to my work schedule. The route will be short and sweet this month. Should be very good cruise. Once everyone gets to town, a officer will pick y’all up as you enter town. And kinda parade everyone threw town on the cruise route in town. So everyone kinda has an idea the route.

The laser show will be at the Noble county court house. There should be plenty of parking around the town square. So be sure and grab some chairs to bring with you. Set them up on the lawn and enjoy the show! The laser show will start when it’s dark, the town will be turning some of the lights off down town, to make the lasers more vibrant. We hope to shoot some into the burnout smoke, that should be awesome.

A lot of local eateries and entertainment is in downtown around the square. Walk around see what may interest you. Lots of options in the town.

I hope everyone takes this opportunity to drive around and cruise the town, some of my fondest memories as a kid were cruising with my buddies on Saturday night. And that’s what we are trying to re establish.

Let’s have a great evening, weather looks great! See everyone tonight !

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So excited for this months event. Months and months of planning has went into this event.
We are proud to present to the Oklahoma car community, a night to remember !
The town of Perry is welcoming us, and letting us “ drag “ their Main Street. Rewind 30 years ago, when every small town in Oklahoma was packed with hot rods and youth lining the parking lots up and down the drag.
That’s what we are doing in Perry! But it gets better! Seth Wadley in Perry has sponsored the event to allow us to bring in Laser Wolf Fx to put on a spectacular laser show while cruising your car around !
Oh and we have a burnout area too
The cruise will depart from Route 66 Bowl in chandler Oklahoma promptly at 6pm that evening. If you haven’t had a chance to check out Route66 bowl, get there early and check it out!
We will head north from there to Perry, expect an hour or so long cruise. Once we get into Perry we will have a police escort coming into town, they will then lead us down the strip. So everyone knows the route to drag up and down.
The laser show will take place at the noble county court house, which is smack dab in the middle of Perry. So you can drive around, watch the lasers, do burnouts and enjoy the company of other like minded gear heads, on a night to remember !
All the local eateries will be open, as will the axe throwing establishment. Take some time and support small town Oklahoma and eat local!
Be respectful of the city, they are going above and beyond letting us take their town over for a night. There will be police presents, so no drag racing etc. they will let some stuff slide, but not 65 in a 30 etc. loud cars no issues, loud music no issues, burnouts in the designated area fine. Just be mindful we guest in their town.
Let’s enjoy this one!!
June Cruise: Kicker World Headquarters
The KICKER campus will be open for us, but a few things we need to keep in mind.
They have a maximum amount of people they can have inside at a time. That number is large, but not everyone will be able to be inside at the same time.
They will have the wall of boom on, gift shop will be open and the air conditioning will be on. But they ask, please don’t Loiter inside.
The big rig will be set up, and that thing has a sound room inside that is wild! Be sure and check they thing out!
Barbells And BBQ OKC will be on-site for some bomb bbq
and Aloha Ice will be on site serving up frozen treats.
The great people at kicker will be the ones picking the winners for the car show. So remember, free to enter. If you are parked, you are in the show!
We will be giving away top 10 rides. No classes no makes or models. Just the baddest 10 rides on the property.
Spring KOTOR(King of the Open Road)
********Massive announcement*********
First off, thank each and everyone of you who have supported these events and have made some memories along the way. That’s what this is all about. Making memories with friends and family while enjoy our hobby, and getting to see some places off the beaten path.
KOTOR events are a lifestyle event, its not just about drag racing. It’s about more than that, its about that memory you had with your co pilot where you had to stop to let the car cool off, and seen that farm pond in the field, and you caught a 5 pound bass while waiting for the car too cool. No one will remember who won that year, but all the bumps along the road and the memories shared with your fellow racers is what you remember !
Imo drag and drive events are the next great thing, started with drag week, then Rocky Mountain race week and now Sick week. We are trying to bring an event like those, to everyone here in Oklahoma, and give everyone a spot to fit in with their car. And have a chance to win some serious cash. Doesn’t matter a 4sec 1/8 mile car or a 13sec Camry. You will still have a shot of winning some serious cash.
With the rise of popularity of our King Of the Open Road events, ( KOTOR ).
We have deceived to give everyone what they wanted, and we are doing a multiple day KOTOR event, all right here in Oklahoma !
We have partnered with Nick Duty and Thunder Valley Raceway park. To bring to you guys, a world class event right here in our back yards. With the track under new ownership, and Nick and the team doing massive renovations to our local track. It’s our obligation imo to support them.
You will get more track time than ever before, testing on Friday, Cruise and qualifying on Saturday and eliminations on Sunday!
Same classes as before with an addition to some new ones. No more KOTOR class, but we will still be crowning a KOTOR champion being the quickest ET between qualifying and eliminations.
Expect the cruise to be a 250-300 mile, EPIC rural Oklahoma cruise, and just like all others events you do not have the be racing in the event to hit the open road with the racers. I expect this to be our largest KOTOR event yet, and rightfully so.
Will start and end at Thunder valley.
Friday - Sunday
April 29th-May1st.
This will be our May crusie event.
I highly suggest Registering ASAP. Ticketing is turned off right now, but as soon as it goes live, I’d get on it. I expect the 200 spots to sell out very quickly.
February/March Cruise: Hallett Motor Racing Circuit
Destination: Hallett Motor Racing Circuit
Date: Sunday, March 6, 2022
UPDATE: 3-5-22
Rubys Cafe in Stroud had messaged me, and will be opening for us for breakfast. So if anyone is wanting to grab some food before we depart at 8:15am.Rubys on Main Street is the place. 429 West Main.
NEW DEPARTURE TIME: Couple reminders about the cruise to Hallett tomorrow. Leaving the old mall parking lot in Stroud at 8:15am. The lot is located just north of I-44. The city of Stroud will be escorting us out of town to help with all the traffic. When we get to Bristow, they have one officer and if he is not on a call, they will assist as will Drumright when we get to Drumright.
So it should be a smooth route with minimal stops.
Remember, there will be two lines at the gate to help get us in as quickly as possible. Once you get in, try and park in a manor that will allow people to get by you. Last year we had a few park blocking the roads.
Hallett. Will be grouping us, so we will have some kind of organization, to help us know who is on the grid ready for laps.
The concession will be open at Hallett, and Turbo Tacos will be set up as well.
Pretty much any make and model will be allowed on the track: convertibles, bikes, trucks, side by sides etc. so come out and enjoy the day! Kids will be able to ride along as well.
We will be giving some things away tomorrow: HST track day, Hallett membership, Kicker Gear, Cruisn Oklahoma swag, Deatschwerks swag.
How to win these things are simple. We will be giving you a ticket at the gate. Keep that ticket, at the end of the day we will be drawing for the prizes. Must be present to win.
Been watching the weather and looking at weather models etc..
It will rain tomorrow, but it will not rain in Hallett until late in the afternoon. Rain will move in from the south west progressing north east through out the day.
We should be dry until about 4pm, moving the event to 8:00am should help us out, getting the most track time.
UPDATE: 2-8-22
Have some great news about our Hallett event!
We will be raffling off some really cool items at the end of the day.
Not only does your $15 get you in the gate, to make laps, ride along or just enjoy the day watching cars.
It will also enter you in a drawing for:
  • HST track day ( means you can go out and, spend the day at the track making laps at speed )
  • Hallett Membership
  • Hallett merchandise
  • Cruisn Oklahoma merchandise
And like last year KICKER is back on board with us this year. And will be giving us some really great items to give away. Blue tooth headphones, bullfrog portable speakers, Kicker swag etc.
So when you pay your entry we will be giving you a raffle ticket, it’s extremely important to not loose that. Each entry will get a ticket. And at the end of the day, we will do a drawing!
February 27th, you do not want to miss this cruise!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ok guys and girls. This is one of our most anticipated events of the year!

All forms of motor vehicles will have the chance to make laps behind a pace car at speed, around Hallett.

Take this opportunity, to come out and check out Oklahoma’s only road course! Last year we had an absolute blast out at the track, and this year will only be better!!

We will be meeting at the old Tanger Outlet mall parking lot in Stroud. ( West side of the parking lot ) We will pull out of Stroud promptly at 9:00am February 27th and proceed East on Route 66. I’ll have the final Route posted in the days to come.

What’s to expect: for $15 you get as many parade laps as you can get in, there will be heats. Meaning, we will try and group vehicle types together. Trucks with trucks. Bikes with bikes. Side by sides with each other etc.

Fly Tulsa will be back this year, $50 helicopter rides over the track, it’s an absolute blast!

Turbo Tacos will be onsite providing our food needs as will the Cafe at Hallett.

We will have an entire new shipment of Cruis’n Oklahoma Merchandise on site, including the new KOTOR shirts!

REMEMBER: Make sure you rides are up for the task! Fresh Brake fluid, tires are good, pads are good, alignment in spec. Last thing we want is someone going off track or even worse getting into someone else due to parts failure. So take the time now to go over your car, and check it out. To make the day more enjoyable for everyone!

WE CAN’T WAIT TO ENJOY THIS GREAT TIME WITH YOU ALL!! SEE YOU THERE!!!

December Toy Drive and Cruise

What’s happening?? December Toy Drive and Cruise!!

As we close our Cruis’n Oklahoma year, we want to focus on giving back to small town Oklahoma.

This month, we have Luther, Oklahoma on our Radar. I have worked with the city and the superintendent of the schools there and we have something pretty special planned for them.

The school will be sending out a letter to each child in the elementary school, inviting them and their family to come out and see us. They are allowing us to use their auditorium and it is really nice!! It will be indoors, because we know in December Oklahoma weather can be very unpredictable. We will have everyone drop their gifts, gently used clothes and non-perishable foods off before the cruise at the school. We will have people to stay behind and get it all organized while we are blasting the back roads of Oklahoma.

As we return, we will be getting an escort from the local police to the high school parking lot where the auditorium is located. By this time the children and their families and the town should be welcoming us. We will be able to interact with the children and their families. Let them set in the cars, tell them all about them etc. Hopefully we can make a impact on one child, and all this will be worth while!

The cruise will be a short one, expect roughly 60miles or so. It is starting later in the day than we normally due, due to waiting for church to let out so each and every kid can come out, and maybe it will be warmer later in the day!

We will also be taking any and all donations that we receive to the local shelter. Clothes, non perishable food, old toys etc.

Luther is a very small, but amazing community that I hope we can make a great impact in. Please join us in making a great Christmas for these amazing kids and their families! So let’s bring out our amazing cars and let’s pack the small town of Luther !

Thank you all for such an amazing year and a pre-thanks to all that is helping spread a little joy to kids this month! We couldn’t do this without you!!

If you are interested in doing a photo shoot of your car, please reach our to our amazing photographer, Richard Burns, and get something set up. You won’t be disappointed!

All cars competing must make the cruise. Just like last time, we will have landmarks to stop and take a picture with to verify you took the same route as everyone else. Trailers are allowed from the vehicle. Your buddy can follow you with your truck and trailer in case something happens. We aren’t going to make the rules super tight. It’s about having fun and enjoying the spirit of the open road. Expect a shorter cruise than the last KOTOR so we can race more. The cruise will still be 70-100 miles.

CLASSES: 8 car minimum per class

HARD TIRE: Any car with a 280 tread wear tire or higher. AWD allowed. 64 maximum racers. No full blown chasis cars with a 25.3 cage on a hard tire. You know what this class is about, it’s about daily drivable cars that like to get down! 1/4 Race

SOFT TIRE: 28” tire and smaller. AWD is allowed. No Methanol/Nitro allowed. Ethanol race gas is fine. This will be a fast class!! 32 maximum racers. 1/8 Mile Race.

This class will have the cash payout the same as last time as well as sponsored prizes just like last time as well.

NEW CLASSES:

H PATTERN: Open to any H pattern shifted car with synchro’s. Any combo will be allowed in this class. 1/4 Mile Race. 16 maximum cars.

Old School: This class is open to any vehicle older than 1985 that is equipped with an engine that came with the vehicle. For example, a 1968 mustang that came with a 289, but has a 429 swap. October Cruise: Talihina, Oklahoma

Ok guys, here we go for October.

***edit***
( would love to do a costume cruise, complete optional of course, but my entire family will be dressed up for the Halloween Spirt, plus it’s my little mans birthday, so want to make it a memorable one for him)

This will be our longest cruise of the year. To see the good roads, and amazing views we have to go far south east Oklahoma. We will be starting in a Ada, Oklahoma to get us further SE to start. Plus it’s a part of the state we have yet to cruise.

Plan is to roll out at 9:15am From North Hills Mall in Ada. We will then proceed east on Highway 1 towards McAlester, this will be our fuel stop. They have E85 as well, if you are a ethanol dependent car, I highly recommend bringing some fuel, and have someone put it in their truck for you. Last thing you want to do is get down there and drive harder than you anticipated and be SOL!

There will be no “ town takeover “ like most months. Nor will we have our merchandise booth. It’s roughly 3 hours to the good roads from Ada, and just won’t be time to hang out in a town etc. I am working on trying to find a restaurant to facilitate the entire group. Be cool to all eat together, IMO. We will be taking the scenic Talamina drive.

We will try and get some photo opportunities like last year on the mountain ridge with my drone and Richards camera. But just depends on the traffic and how occupied the parking lots will be.

The colors should be really close to full change by then, and the weather is always amazing, so if you have never been, I highly recommend going! It’s a fun day in the car doing car things!

See everyone October 24th!

September Cruise: Lasers at Turner Falls

Here we go everyone. Our September event we have all been waiting for! Our first Saturday cruise and our first evening event. Let’s make it an epic one!

We will be meeting in Shawnee and leaving around 5:30pm. At the mall parking lot, We will proceed south from Shawnee down state highway 177.I have a route posted in the event discussion.

Once we arrive at Turner Falls, gate admission is $20 per person and $16 per kid. Kids under 5 are free. They have waived the parking permit for our group. You typically have to pay to park as well. Once in the park, there is a ton of parking. We plan to try and park the group at the main falls parking lot, if it fills, we will park on top of the falls, and they have a shuttle that will run for us, and move us too and from the show. Should be a great evening. They also have a horse drawn buggy that may be running for rides as well.

Laser show will be provided by our own, Hunter and Garret with laser wolf FX. They do some massive venues, OKC thunder, concerts, UTV takeover etc.. they is not a fly by night laser company. But a legit show. We will have music, it will be one heck of a time.

For off-road people, crossbar ranch and Turner falls are connected now. You can wheel at night at cross bar, and come and go as you please. So if you have a off road capable vehicle, may be a great cruise to bring it on.

We will be collecting the $10 per person for the laser show when you arrive at the parking lot. We will have our booth there and will collect it there. I am sorry once again about the cost, but lasers are not free and I think it’s a very affordable night to remember.

Bring your entire family out, swim or float around in the pool at the base of the falls and enjoy yourself! Be sure and be safe, there will be no life guard on duty. So enter the water at your own risk.

We will have food trucks on sight, adult beverages are permitted, but zero glass bottles.

Camping is permitted in the park as well. They have hiking trails to explore, all kinds of really neat things, even an old “ castle “

I really hope you guys enjoy this one, should be a great way to end our summer cruises and look forward to Talamina, King of the Open road and our Christmas toy drive.

August Cruise: Sulphur Springs

August Cruise: Sulphur Springs

WHO’S READY TO GO TO SULPHUR SPRINGS?

Well as things go in life, things change. With the up tick in COVID cases, The powers to be at Kicker decided to postpone our event, we will have an event at Kicker at some point!!

So over the last 24hours, we had to find a new venue and do things that typically take weeks, in 24hours. And the city of Sulphur has been amazing, and welcoming!

We kept this one relatively short, we are starting in Seminole, Oklahoma. We will meet downtown Seminole, on the old " bricks" There should be plenty of parking for us. You will have to park in actual parking spots, so when we leaving the local LEO's will lead us South. The drive will not be a long one, but I would recommend filling up before we leave.

For those who have never been to Sulphur, it is one of the best small town experiences in Oklahoma! With the State park in town, Arbuckle lake just down the road, it really is an amazing summer time destination, so be sure to bring a swimsuit and enjoy the cold cool water the springs have to offer!

We will be parking in the downtown Sulphur area and it will not be as organized as months past due to the quick change, but we will make it work! There will be plenty of food venues available in town and the small town shops plan to be open for us!

This month we will be having RC drags. This a new part of Cruising Oklahoma events and should be a great new addition. They are bringing their timing equipment and all. Should be one heck of a show! Will be a 100% payback to the ones racing, and Kicker is kicking in some prizes as well!

Sorry to change the Venue within a week of the event, but we had no choice. It was 100% out of my control, but I think Sulphur will turn out to be an amazing Host!

July Cruise: Spavinaw, Oklahoma

EASTERN OKLAHOMA, WE ARE COMING TO YOU!!

Here we go everyone! You guys said you wanted eastern Oklahoma. Well this one is for you! Spavinaw is a very small little town nestled in the foothills of the Ozarks. With a lake as it's eastern boarder of town, the views look to be amazing! As always, alot has went into this event, and the Town is welcoming us, so please be respectful of the town and LEO’s.

We will be meeting in Stroud, Oklahoma. On the West side of the old Tanger outlet mall, much like our February cruise. It is very important, that we stay on the west side of the parking lot. The east side is owned by the Tribe. They city of Stroud will be assisting us getting out of town much like they did last time. I will post the exact route with a google maps link in the weeks to come, have to fine tune it with a few towns, to try and get the most help. Plan to pull out at 8:30am

This very well could be, our best one to date. Days will be long, and the cruise just as long! As we get close to Spavinaw, the roads and sights look to be spectacular! We will be coming in from the south, on state Hwy 18, and from what I am told, it is a mini Tale of the Dragon!

When we get to town, we will have our Friends from Fly Tulsa back, and they will be giving rides over the lakes! We will have a burnout contest again, with tons of prizes as always, Thanks to Kicker!

Local eateries' and food trucks will be on site. Our parking spot will be Copper Head Cove camp ground, they host a huge motorcycle rally each year, so they should be able to accommodate everyone! If not, there is a state park in town, for overflow parking that just happens to be on the water, and lets face it. It's July, it will be hot, and a nice cool swim in a clear lake will sound pretty damn good! So be sure to bring appropriate attire.

And there is so much to do in this area, you have Disney, Oklahoma just a few miles away, as well as the Neosho River and Grand lake. If you have never been to this part of the state, it is amazing!

See everyone in July!

June Cruise: Cache, Oklahoma

June Cruise: Cache, Oklahoma

WHAT TO EXPECT: Cache, Oklahoma

Our June event will be a town take over. It will be similar to what we went on in April, in Hennessey, Oklahoma. Bring your kids, your parents, your entire family. As always, it’s going to be a great time for everyone. We hope to see you all there!

We will be meeting at Thunder Valley Raceway Park in Noble, Oklahoma. The track is generous enough to let us park on the property, so PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL AND DON’T LEAVE TRASH, NO BURNOUTS, ETC.

This will be a really cool chance for our photographers to get some killer shots in the staging lanes, parking lots etc at the Best track in Oklahoma! So if you are wanting shots of your car, I recommend reaching out to the photographers prior to the event so that you can get your pictures arranged.

The will be posting a detailed map for our route here soon, but it will be about 120 miles one way. With no E85 in the area, as always, Central Speed Supply (CSS) will have our backs and have E85 on site. Please take the opportunity to thank them for taking the time and for bringng that much E85 for everyone.

The route will roughly be a 2 hour drive. We will be take the route we took from Blanchard partially and then West from Anadarko. The roads and landscape out that way are amazing! You for sure don’t want to miss this cruise!

The town of Cache is going to welcome us into their town. Cache is located in Southwest Oklahoma and is at the foot hills of he Wichita Mountains. With tons of outdoor activities to do within 30 minutes of drive time, Cache is a destination you do not want to miss. There is also Mt. Scott, Medicine Park, several very nice clear lakes and miles of hiking trails. This area has something for everyone if you enjoy to outdoors.

We will be driving through the wildlife refuge, so plenty of amazing photo opportunities there. You will see roaming buffalo and all kinds of other wildlife. This area is truly unlike anywhere else in Oklahoma.

The town will be opening the school facilities up for us. They are allowing us to park on the campus and opening the gym for us to go inside and enjoy the day with the family playing some basketball while enjoying small town Oklahoma charm. As always, please be respecful to their property and don’t leave your trash behind.

Food will be available in town and two gas stations are directly across the street from the High School.

UPDATE:

Great News!!! Town meeting went will in Cache last night. Lance Rainey has been doing the footwork down there, so thank you so much for all your help with this event! The city is open to possibly pouring us a “skid” pad if this event goes off well. How freaking cool would that be!!

They are going to find a spot in town that will allow a burnout contest much like the Hennessey event. We will be doing prizes for the winners.

Food trucks will be on site as well as local eateries being open. I really want to make this event as big as Hennessey for this town. Please share the event and tell your family and friends.

This will be the most scenic cruise we have taken so far and July will be absolutely amazing as well!! July we will be going to NE Oklahoma!!

As things get closer, I am sure we will have updates and I will post those accordingly.

See you all in June!!

May Cruise: Hinton Street Race

May Cruise: Hinton Street Race

May 9th, we will be having our first annual King of the Open Road Race in Hinton, Oklahoma. Home of the Hinton Street Races.

Blain Mills has allowed us to use his road for our event. Huge thanks to him!!

A lot of planning and preparation has gone into this event. I really hope we have a huge turn out like we did at Hallett and that everyone can enjoy a nice day out with the family and have an amazing cruise!!

HERE ARE THE RULES:

  • 1/8TH mile heads up drag racing, street style. Traction compounds will be allowed for burnouts. No more than two burnouts.

  • All classes with be 100% payback and it is $50 to enter and race. 80/20 split.

  • $10 to spectate and they do have bleachers to sit in, but you may consider bringing an extra chair or two just in case we fill it up! Bring sunscreen too :)

  • Central Speed Supply(CSS) will be on site with fuel, spark plugs etc. and most things you will need if something does happen between rounds. Even if there isn’t anything you may need that particular day, go by and say hi just to get to know them. You won’t be disappointed! Amazing locally family owned company and great people in general!

  • Flash light or arm drop starting. If the sun is really bright that day and light is hard to see, we will go to an arm drop start. Racing will start at 1pm and we will be leaving Cushing, Oklahoma early that day.

  • KING OF THE OPEN ROAD CLASS is presented by DeatschWerks. Must make it on two cruises and drive the car you are racing! You cannot trailer your car in, you must drive it! You may change wheels and tires, service the car as needed etc. No tire larger than 29.5”, so “big” small tire. AWD is allowed. May bring a 4x8 trailer to tow if needed. You can have a support vehicle for fuel only if needed, no methanol. The winner of the class will get a $500 voucher to use with DeatschWerks along with 80% of the pot. Runner up gets 20% of the pot so if we have a full field, $1280. Pretty good payday for getting to enjoy the day doing what we love.

  • SOFT TIRE CLASS is presented by Farmtruck and AZN. They will be giving us some Pimp Juice to give away, the ultimate sticky. Any slick or radial is allowed as long as it is 29.5” or smaller. Must make the cruise the day of in the car you are planning to race. May have support vehicle for fuel. AWD is allowed. Trailer is allowed.

  • HARD TIRE CLASS. Any tire is allowed with 240 tread wear and harder. Unless factory equipment, OEM. AWD is allowed. Must make cruise day of. HARD TIRE CLASS IS FULL!!

Please post up if you want a spot. We will accept pre-paid entry to Jareds_3000gt@hotmail.com(PayPay) to lock in your spot. Message me with any questions you may have. Message me a picture of your car to get a racer card made with your car to share.

TECH: If the vehicle is able to make 120+ mile cruise the day of, its a street car, but we must make sure these cars are safe. HELMET IS REQUIRED AS IS A FIRE JACKET IF YOUR CAR IS MODIFIED WITH NITROUS, TURBO, OR A SKUPERCHARGER THAT IS AFTERMARKET. We will go over the car to make sure it’s safe. It’s just general things: lug nuts tight, tires not bald, bumper’s not hanging off. If you have dragged race before, you know how to make your car safe. Last thing we want is someone to get hurt. We want everyone to have fun, but SAFETY IS TOP PRIORITY. Don’t try and be a hero, if you are feeling the car is getting away from you, LIFT!!

This is a one day drag week/race week basically. For those who have never competed in an event like that, it’s wild! I wanted to bring the spirit of the open road and drag racing to everyone who wants to compete and not take a week of your life to do so.

We are limiting each class to 32 cars so first come, first serve. Get your name and entry paid to lock in your spot! You don’t want to miss this! We will be racing into the evening hours and would love to run more, but 96 cars will be a chore as is. We will do a chip draw for pairings the day of from our start location. If someone does not make the drive after they have drawn, their opponent will get a bye run. If the class you are racing in does not fill, we will have a first round bye for the lucky one who draws a chip, but does not have an opponent.

Check in at Hinton will be at 12noon. We will be leaving early that morning to give everyone ample time to get to Hinton to cool down, swap tires, look over your car etc before we go hot at 1pm. If you don’t make the call at noon, you are out.

All calls will be made by Blain and myself(Jrod). We will have final say on any dispute.

ROUTE AND REQUIREMENT IF YOU ARE RACING: 1802 N Broadway Ave, Hinton, Oklahoma 73047)

  • We will pull out of Cushing High School parking lot at 8:30am. You may trailer your car or truck to there and unload then have someone follow you in the rig for the cruise. This should give you ample time to get to Hinton even with stops for fuel, restrooms, food or issues that may arise.

  • We will take Highway 18 West from Cushing all the way to Watonga, In Watonga, you will be required to take a picture with the massive grain silo’s in town if you are racing to ensure you don’t take another route to shorten the distance. You can’t miss them in Watonga, they are at the intersection where we turn South to go toward Hinton. The South road is Highway 270 which will take us all the way into Geary, Oklahoma. Just south of Geary, 270 turns into 281 and we will take 281 into Hinton, Oklahoma.

I think this will be a super fun, action packed day with a chance to win some serious money!!

Tell all your drag racing friends and family as this event will be a great time for all whether you are racing or watching!!

If you are wanting to attend this event for media, a pass will be required. Contact Richard Burns our event photographer for more information and details on that. No charge, we just want to have proper credentials.

I hope we pack this event! This will be an annual event for us and will only get better!

For those of you that do not know, there is a super cool gas station there from years past that a scence from the movie Rainman was filmed at which will be a very cool spot for a photo opportunity if you choose to pull off and grab some pictures. Highway 152 will take us back East until it dead ends at Minco, Oklahoma. We will then take Highway 37 through Tuttle and when we get on Highway 37, you want to hang a right on South 76. December Cruise: Wilson, Oklahoma Toy and Food Drive

THE GIFT OF GIVING

Ok guys, here it is: I would like those able, to bring a new toy for kids, and nice clothes you may have out grown or no longer wear for the families. We have roughly 50 families that will be meeting us at Redline Auto Sports, so we can meet these families and give them the gift of Christmas. I have a friend that helped setup this up so thanks to David Moore for that, for those who don't know what Redline is, check it out. It's pretty damn cool, Has all the old Signage and gas pumps and cars from years past. It's an auto museum. This area has been hit really hard this year, due to most of the work is oilfield based and these families are down on their luck. December 20th, the Sunday before Christmas. We will be cruising down to Wilson, Oklahoma. We will be meeting at Riverwind in Norman at 9am, from there we will take back roads to Wilson. Hopefully getting to Redline around 11am. It will be a short cruise due to the days being so short, and the weather being unknown. As always Richard Burns will be there taking shots, and I bet with a canvas like Redline has to offer, some pretty epic ones at that! Can't wait to see you guys!
